When Kate Spade commissioned us to create paper fires escapes for their North American flagship store windows on New York’s Madison Avenue, we had to pinch ourselves to make sure it was really happening! Using custom designs, we worked with local fabricator to laser cut each piece out of heavy black matte board. From there, we assembled and glued each section separately. They were then packed meticulously and shipped to New York. The 8 feet high, 2 feet wide and 10 inches deep installations lived on each side of the Madison Avenue windows through the heat of the summer. Kate Spade kindly wrote a piece about me on their blog.
